Bank timings for transactions
In most of the banks, the processing window for NEFT transactions is open from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM every day, excluding 2nd and 4th Saturdays and Sundays. However, customers can access NEFT services through online banking 24×7 without any charges for fund transfers.
For RTGS transactions, Bank of Baroda allows transfers from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on all working days, except for 2nd and 4th Saturdays, Sundays, and bank holidays. Additionally, customers have access to Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) 24×7 for transferring funds to other banks.
Customers can make these transactions through Internet banking portal or Mobile banking services. How to make transactions through Mobile Banking and Internet banking
- Open your mobile banking app or visit the official website of your bank and log into your account.
- Click the option for fund transfer and choose which type of transaction you want to make.
- Select beneficiary from the beneficiary list.
- Enter the amount and click confirm. When you click “confirm”, the bank will send you a 6-digit OTP to your registered mobile number.
- Enter that OTP and click confirm again. Shortly after a while or right away, the money will be transferred to the recipient’s account.
For Internet banking, you need to register yourself first. To register follow these steps:
- Open the browser on your device and go to the official website of Punjab National Bank.
- Go to the option for registration under the ‘Online Banking’ or ‘Login’ section.
- Enter some details like account number, card details, personal information, and you will receive an OTP (OneTime Password) to your registered mobile number for verification.
- Then, set up the login credentials that is a user ID and password. The password should be strong, it will be a combination of alphabets, numbers, and special characters.
- After registration, you can use these newly created credentials to log into your account.
- Sometimes, you will have to set a security question and its answer to enable two-factor authentication or link a registered device for extra security. You can set something you can easily remember lest you forget it later. This two-factor authentication will add extra security to your account and help you from unauthorised login and fraudulent activities.
